terms and conditions

As a participant in LSTA Training:   

  • I understand that dinghy sailing/powerboating/windsurfing can be dangerous for the less experienced unless conducted in an controlled environment. I therefore agree to comply at all times instructions given, particularly with regard to the handling of the boat, the wearing of my buoyancy aid, and the wearing of suitable clothing for the  conditions. I understand that the organisers may cancel the training at any time in the event of bad weather.
  • I understand that the organisers may exclude anyone from the training scheme who fails to comply with these conditions or who misconducts themselves in any way or who causes damage or annoyance to other persons.
  • Further in the event of an accident I give permission to the organisers of the training to administer any relevant treatment or medication as necessary. In an emergency situation I authorise the organisers to take me to hospital and give my full permission for any treatment required to be carried out in accordance with the hospital’s diagnosis.
  • I agree that LSTA / Largs SC shall not be liable in any way in respect of loss, damage to property, personal injury or death, however caused.
  • I confirm that I can swim at least 50 meters.
  • I agree that still and/or video photography may be used by LSTA / Largs SC as a training aid or for publicity purposes. 

(All such photography will comply with our child protection policy and the LSTA will take all steps to ensure that images are used solely for the purposes for which they are intended.  If you become aware that images are being used inappropriately you should inform Sue Kirby (Training Principal) immediately)

  

(If the participant is under 18) I as a Parent or Guardian  

  

  • I have agreed that my child may take part in the training activity.
  • I confirm that I have read through the above conditions with him/her and that we both understand and agree to them. I also confirm that the particulars given above are correct and complete in all respects.
  • I confirm that whilst my child is participating I will be contactable by telephone.
